JRW MOTORSPORT JOINS MINI CHALLENGE WITH SCHOLARSHIP VICTOR

JRW Motorsport will make its debut in the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE this season alongside 2024 Scholarship winner Albert Webster.

The team will make the move into the series having previously enjoyed success in a range of championships, most notably the BRSCC Fiesta ST240 series where it won the title with Webster last year.

The teenager earned a spot on the grid in the new JCW Sport category following his success in the inaugural Scholarship, where he saw off the challenge of more than 100 rivals to win the top prize – including car hire and entry for the 2024 campaign.

The 18-year-old is set to be one of the youngest drivers on he grid when the season kicks off at Donington Park in late April.

“With the opportunity that I have been awarded by winning the scholarship, I looked at all the teams that were around and the only people I wanted to race with was JRW Motorsport,” Webster said.

“Being with them gives me the best confidence going into the season ahead. They helped me grow as a driver over the past year, and we will grow together going into the TOCA paddock with the MINI CHALLENGE.”

Team owner Jamie White was delighted to confirm the move into MINI CHALLENGE for 2024.

“Entering the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE is a testament to our commitment to growth as a team,” he said. “From what started five years ago, to now be entering a car into a series with the status of MINI CHALLENGE as part of the TOCA support package is a big moment in our small history.

“We’re truly honoured to be part of the MINI family and can’t wait to showcase our passion and dedication on the track. Working with Albert again is great and the relationship we have with him means we can progress having full confidence in our driver.

“Most importantly, racing with Albert and his family keeps the fun in competition, which makes the team dynamics work. This has proven to be a successful combination.”
