DOMINIC WHEATLEY RETURNS FOR GRADUATE CAMPAIGN

Dominic Wheatley will return to the JCW class of the Vertu Motors MINI CHALLENGE for a second season after extending his time with Graves Motorsport.

Wheatley joined the JCW last season for the first time having made the step up from the Cooper class as championship winner.

A best finish of eighth would prove to be the highlight in the second part of the season once Wheatley has come to the grips with the new car, and he heads into his Graduate campaign keen to push forwards up the order.

“I’m thrilled to be racing for Graves Motorsport again this season,” he said. “Last year was a steep learning curve for me after moving up to the JCW class but the team were very good at developing the car and my driving to get the best out of both.

“I’m sure with the knowledge gained last season we can be sure for great results this year.”

Team manager David Graves expressed confidence that Wheatley would continue to be a valued member of the Graves line-up during the year ahead.

“We are delighted that Dom is returning to the JCW class this year, he’s a fantastic addition to the team both on and off the track,” he said. “He improved significantly throughout last year and had top-ten results in his debut season, and we’re sure he’ll be a regular there this year.

“Off-track Dom and his family are a welcome addition to our team and his MINI CHALLENGE Trophy title is also of significant importance to us as Dom will continue to coach our Cooper line-up, which has already secured a first win under his tutorship last weekend.”
