ALEX DENNING PROUD OF ROOKIE RECORD

Alex Denning says is he proud of his record after an impressive first full season in the Quaife MINI CHALLENGE saw him go close to the championship title.

After a guest appearance with JamSport in 2021, Denning joined the grid on a full-time basis with Graves Motorsport this year and proved to be the stand out performer amongst the rookie drivers.

A stunning second half to the campaign saw Denning take victory in seven of the final ten races to rocket up the championship order, with the Irish racer declaring himself happy with his campaign even though he missed out on top honours to Sam Weller.

“I think my record speaks for itself and the pace we have had in our first year is fantastic,” he said. “To have such a strong season means a lot to me and is something I’m very proud of, and it’s a good thing for me to have on my CV.

“It’s just a shame that we had some issues in the early part of the season that mean we were down on power, and that we also had a few mechanical issues that hurt us.

“Hats off to Sam because he has driven brilliantly all season and has done everything right – he’s been exceptional. I’ve enjoyed our battle and my focus now turns towards trying to put the right deal in place for me for 2023.”
