MINI CHALLENGE UNVEIL 2023 CALENDARS

Organisers of the Quaife MINI CHALLENGE can today confirm a total of 14 race dates for the 2023 season, split evenly between the headline JCW category and the MINI CHALLENGE Trophy.

As has been the case since 2020, the JCW category will run exclusively on the British Touring Car Championship support package, visiting six of the leading circuits around the UK.

The seven round schedule is set to feature 20 races for the second year in succession, with the full weekend format for each race meeting to be confirmed in due course.

The JCW season will kick off at Donington Park in late April before heading to Brands Hatch and Snetterton in May, with the half-way point of the season coming at Oulton Park in mid-June.

After a summer break, action will resume north of the border in Scotland with the annual trip to Knockhill, with trips to Silverstone National and the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit rounding out the race dates.

Whilst the JCW field will tackle the same circuits as in 2022, there are a number of changes for drivers competing in the entry level MINI CHALLENGE Trophy.

The calendar for the Cooper class cars – which is also set to feature a total of 20 races – will launch the new MINI CHALLENGE season in early April with a visit to Brands Hatch before the series then heads to Snetterton in May for round two.

Thruxton kicks off a run of three successive rounds on the TOCA package, with the Coopers also visiting Croft and the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit during their time supporting the BTCC.

Silverstone National also returns to the calendar after a year away for the penultimate meeting of the season, before the Coopers return to Brands Hatch for their finale in early November.

Every MINI CHALLENGE event in 2023 will benefit from live broadcast coverage, with the ten events running alongside the BTCC seeing the JCW and Cooper cars included as part of an extensive free-to-air offering on ITV4.

The four non-TOCA rounds for the Cooper cars – which includes rounds alongside the British Truck Racing Championship for a third successive season – will feature live streaming via BARC TV.

Entries for both the JCW and Cooper classes will open in the coming weeks, when details of earlybird discounts will also be confirmed.
