Calum King will once again return to the JCW Championship in 2019 with 2018 season winning team, Jamsport and is looking for some strong results.

“I am excited to announce I will be returning to the JCW’s in 2019 with Jamsport Racing. The Mini Challenge really is one of the best Championship’s in the UK and I am delighted to be part of it again.”

“I am looking forward to seeing everybody, faces new and old, and pre-season testing with Jamsport cannot come around soon enough. This past season was a big learning curve with Jamsport, with them being new to the car and Championship, every round really was a test and development session to try and maximise what we could from the car, and I think my form toward the end of the season showed that we had hit the sweet spot and I really clicked with the car.”

“It means going in to 2019 we are confident and hopefully can hit the ground running come Round 1 at Oulton Park. I tasted champagne at Rockingham with a podium so hopefully I can bag a few more of them and come the end of the season my standings in the Championship will be strong and we can pick up some trophies on the way. Jamsport have a Championship to defend so all of us in the team will be pulling in the direction to keep that trophy in house!”

Jamsport’s team principle added “We were thrilled to have Calum on-board with us for our first year competing in MINI’s. It was a great achievement for us to help him to progress from competing in the mid-pack to finishing on the podium at Rockingham, with consistent presence at the front pack for the remainder of the season. The aim of the team is to take any of our drivers and make a difference and improvement to their race craft. We are excited to be working with him once again next season, and will be looking to push him towards more podium finishes”.
