HENRY HOWARTH SET FOR JCW DEBUT AT BRANDS HATCH

Henry Howarth will make his return to the Power Maxed MINI CHALLENGE this weekend at Brands Hatch after inking a deal to rejoin the Jamsport Racing squad.

Howarth made his debut in the series last year as part of Jamsport’s assault on the JCW Sport class, with the teenager embroiled in a season-long battle with team-mate Archie Johnson for the title.

In total, Howarth bagged six wins during the campaign and only failed to make the Sport podium twice all year, although he would just miss out on the title to Johnson during the season finale on the Brands Hatch GP layout.

Like Johnson, Howarth was eager to move up into the headline JCW category for 2026 but was unable to get a deal over the line in time for the season opener at Donington Park last month.

However, with the support of his family and additional backing from Potter Financial Partners, Howarth will now make his belated JCW debut at Brands Hatch with the 18-year-old set to resume his rivalry with Johnson over the remaining six rounds of the season.

“It was difficult to watch the opening rounds from the sidelines but I’m delighted to have now got the deal done to join the JCW grid this weekend,” he said.

“Last year, I was able to learn a huge amount in the Sport class and my aim now is to take that knowledge into the remainder of the season and try to challenge for some strong results in the JCW class.

“I know it will be tough given that everyone else has a race weekend under their belt already but I can’t wait to get started!”
