POWER MAXED NAMED AS MINI CHALLENGE TITLE PARTNER
Organisers of the MINI CHALLENGE can today confirm that Power Maxed will return to the series in the role of title partner for the 2026 season, which gets underway this weekend at Donington Park.
Part of the Automotive Brands stable, Power Maxed previously held the role of title partner in 2015 to boost brand awareness after the launch of the automotive care product business.
The competition arm of the business, Power Maxed Racing, also ran a multi-car team in the series that included World Touring Car Championship racer Harry Vaulkhard (pictured) and Power Maxed owner Adam Weaver, who contested selected events himself.
Since then, Power Maxed has grown to become a major player in the industry, developing and manufacturing a comprehensive range of products that are not only used extensively by trade and individual customers across the UK, but which are also offered on a global basis through a network of partners.
The new partnership between the MINI CHALLENGE and Power Maxed will see the headline JCW and JCW Sport classes do battle in the rebranded Power Maxed MINI CHALLENGE, with the company using it’s involvement in the series to help give back to the motorsport community for the support shown after a devastating fire that occurred last summer.
That fire destroyed Power Maxed’s headquarters near Bretforton in Worcestershire, wiping out both production and storage facilities as well as the race team.
Despite that, the industry pulled together to ensure that Power Maxed Racing was able to complete its racing programme, with the car care business also rising from the ashes to continue operations having moved into a new base in Studley shortly before Christmas.
The Power Maxed MINI CHALLENGE will once again run exclusively alongside the British Touring Car Championship this season, with a total of seven events taking place between April and October across the UK.
That includes a special TOCA MINI Festival at Snetterton next month alongside the Mairon Motorsport MINI CHALLENGE Trophy, which will celebrate 25 years since the relaunch of the MINI brand.
Adam Weaver, Automotive Brands founder and owner, said: “The fire back in August was devastating for us as we watched all of our production and storage facilities, as well as our BTCC team, quite literally destroyed in front of our eyes.
“Some people would have given up and walked away at that point, but the support we received from everyone – but particularly the motorsport community – allowed us to not only keep our own racing programme on track, but also start rebuilding the business to be bigger and stronger than ever before.
“It’s now time for us to give something back to those who have supported us since the fire, and this partnership with the MINI CHALLENGE is a great way to do that.
“It’s a fantastic championship that provides top class racing and given that we were involved in the series when we first launched the Power Maxed brand, it’s apt that we are now partnering again as we rebuild.
“We look forward to working with the championship during the year ahead and plan to run a number of offers and competitions that will benefit both competitors in the Power Maxed MINI CHALLENGE and race fans throughout 2026.”
Rhea Beauchamp, MINI CHALLENGE Championship Co-ordinator, said: “We are delighted to welcome Adam and Power Maxed back into the MINI CHALLENGE family this season as our JCW and JCW Sport title partner.
“The opportunity to work in partnership with Power Maxed as it grows in the aftermath of last summer is something we are hugely excited about, and we look forward to showcasing the Power Maxed brand on track throughout 2026.”
