CHRIS MACKENZIE CONFIRMS THIRD JCW SPORT PROGRAMME
Chris MacKenzie will return to the JCW Sport class of the MINI CHALLENGE for a third successive season in 2026 after confirming his entry for the new campaign.
MacKenzie will continue to compete with his family-run Bitcoin Racing squad as he looks to launch a bid for the championship crown, having finished fourth in the Sport class last season.
Having previously taken fifth back in 2024 in the first season for the new category, Mackenzie has made more starts than any other driver in a JCW Sport machine and will now look to make his experience count against a field of drivers moving into the class for the first time.
“I’m excited to begin my third season in the championship,” he said. “It’s taken a huge amount of hard work and commitment behind the scenes to get myself back on the grid this year, which makes this opportunity even more meaningful.
“The past two seasons have been a valuable learning experience, with plenty of highs and lows, particularly competing as the only independent team on the grid.”
Having secured multiple wins in recent seasons, MacKenzie will hope to hit the ground running at Donington Park this weekend, with the ultimate goal of following in the footsteps of Dylan Hotchin and Archie Johnson in lifting the Sport title.
“This year, the focus is clear,” he said. “We want to go out there and deliver consistent, clean performances, eliminate mechanical DNFs, and mount a strong challenge for the championship title.“
