MAIRON MOTORSPORT MANAGEMENT NAMED AS TROPHY TITLE PARTNER
Organisers of the MINI CHALLENGE can today confirm that Mairon Motorsport Management will take up the role of title partner for the Cooper category for the 2026 season.
The new partnership will see Cooper class cars competing together in the Mairon Motorsport MINI CHALLENGE Trophy, which will run across seven events scheduled for the upcoming campaign.
Mairon Motorsport Management is the brainchild of Tommy Watson, who competed in the MINI CHALLENGE Trophy himself back in 2024 whilst also operating his successful logistics business Mairon Freight.
Having gained experience of motorsport as both a driver and a sponsor, Watson founded Mairon Motorsport Management to help provide support to other racers looking to take to the circuit themselves, offering access to a wide range of services that include finance, fitness, social media and sports psychology.
The new partnership will see Mairon Motorsport Management logos adorn cars competing across the Cooper class, with the first races of the new season taking place at Silverstone this weekend.
The Mairon Motorsport MINI CHALLENGE Trophy will then make the first of four appearances on the BTCC support package at Snetterton in May as part of an exciting weekend of action in the ‘TOCA MINI Carnival’ – which will see all three MINI CHALLENGE classes competing at the same meeting for the first time since 2019.
Additional TOCA support rounds at Thruxton, Donington Park and Croft – alongside events at Pembrey and Brands Hatch Indy supporting the British Truck Racing Championship – will then round out the Mairon Motorsport MINI CHALLENGE Trophy calendar.
Rhea Beauchamp, MINI CHALLENGE championship co-ordinator, said:
“We are delighted to be working with Tommy and his team this season, and to announce the Mairon Motorsport MINI CHALLENGE Trophy for 2026.
“As someone who has been part of the grid himself in the past, Tommy knows first hand how exciting racing in the Cooper class can be and it’s fantastic to be able to count on his support this year.”
Tommy Watson, Mairon Motorsport Management Founder, said:
“I’m so excited to be able to partner with Rhea and the MINI CHALLENGE team for the season ahead through the Mairon Motorsport MINI CHALLENGE Trophy.
“After racing in the series myself in 2024, I know all about the quality of the championship, and the opportunity it gives young drivers when it comes to the competing in front of large crowds and in a high-profile series.
“Everything we are trying to achieve at Mairon Motorsport Management aligns with the MINI CHALLENGE, giving drivers the opportunity to showcase their talent and develop their skills.
“I will be very proud to see Mairon branding on the Coopers for 2026, and best of luck to all the drivers for the season ahead.”
