ALEX SOLLEY CONFIRMS JCW RETURN FOR SECOND SEASON

Alex Solley has confirmed that he will make a return to the JCW class of the MINI CHALLENGE for a second season.

Having scored multiple race wins in the Cooper category, Solley made the move up to the premier class of the MINI CHALLENGE in 2025 after inking a deal to join forces with the NAPA Racing UK squad.

Solley bagged a best finish of fourth during the campaign en-route to ninth in the championship standings, only missing out on a potential podium at Knockhill after on-track contact.

Going into 2026, Solley will now join forces with the expanding Pro Alloys Racing team, becoming the fourth driver named in the line-up alongside Max Edmundson, Sam Gornall and Ned Anthony.

Solley himself has been hard at work over the winter completing the upgrade of his car to run the new F66 bodykit, with Pro Alloys responsible for running the machine at each of the seven events on the calendar this year.

With a season of experience behind him, and the success of the team last year in its debut campaign, Solley will aim to fight for silverware this season with the ultimate goal of a title challenge.

“I didn’t expect to join the JCW grid last season, so to be on track competing in the series was a huge milestone in my career,” he said. “I’m delighted to be able to return again in 2026 with a new team in Pro Alloys Racing, but a familiar look as I go back to the colours that served me well in the Coopers.

“I have a connection with the team already from the past, and I was hugely impressed with what they did last season considering that they were new to the JCW and had to learn the car.

“For them to take second in the standings against strong competition was no mean feat, and when I was looking at my options for this season, there was no other team I wanted to join up with.

“Having gone close to the podium last year, my goal this season is to bring home some silverware and I’ll be fighting hard to achieve that.”
