FORMER BRITISH GT CHAMPION, JAMES GORNALL WILL BE JOINING THE JCW CHAMPIONSHIP

Former British GT Champion, James Gornall will be joining the MINI CHALLENGE for the 2019 season, having completed in a couple of rounds last season

Gornall has been racing cars since 2003 and has enjoyed much success in everything he’s raced including British Formula Renault single seaters, Britcar 24h, British GT Championship and more recently the BMW Compact Cup but the MINI CHALLENGE is his first move to front wheel drive racing.

“I was immediately impressed with the MINI Challenge JCW following my guest appearance at Rockingham. It was clear that this was the best place to start my front wheel drive journey, hence securing our own car. We will be taking part as a father (Ian) and son team, with valuable help from family and friends. We are confident that we can take the challenge to the multi-car teams, even if we don’t have any experience! I still consider myself new to FWD and have plenty of learning to do, but I am determined to hit the ground running in 2019. I have been fortunate to win championships in every discipline I have raced in, and I plan on extending that record.”
