Lee Allen’s dominance of the S Class this year was finally confirmed at Thruxton, when another triple class win crowned him overall champion. For Luke Caudle there was disappointment, another two wins out of three, but a few points lacking to retain his overall title from 2009.

For the third time this year Luke Caudle fell one short of his hattrick, when after two wins, an issue with his turbo over heating left him trailing Chris Knox. The first of the weekends races had to be red flagged within yards of the start. Steve Liquorish and Roger Grimshaw were both casualties, “I had hoped my comeback was going to last more than 300 yards,” said Grimshaw. Also off in a separate incident was Knox, but he was able to make it back for the restart. |

Luke Caudle kept his title defence well on track with two wins at Pembrey’s 20th anniversary meeting, as well as a second place to rival Chris Knox.
Having qualified on pole, Caudle made a good clean getaway, as Chris Knox slipped ahead of the fast starting Gavin Bristow at the crossing. Matt Pike made it a three car squabble for second on lap two, which allowed Caudle to increase his advantage. |

A guesting Stuart Clarke took two wins out of three, in a day which apart from race three, was dominated by the safety car.
Although Clarke was on pole, it was Luke Caudle that made the best start in the opening race, with Chris Knox jockeying his way through to second at Old Hall despite receiving a tap from his Coastal Racing Team boss Carl Bradley. “It was a good start, but that tap upset the handling and I was hung out to dry at the Island Hairpin on the first lap,” said Knox. |
